Kol Ami's response to covid-19

At Kol Ami, one of our core values is safety and wellness - for our congregants and for our employees. As of March 12, we have eliminated the shared food at Torah study and cancelling all potluck dinners for the next month. We will re-evaluate at that time.

You are welcome to bring your own breakfast to Torah study.

As well, to promote a more hygienic synagogue experience, we have placed hand sanitizers in key areas such as the foyer and the chapel.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO:

  • Please stay home if you are sick or might have been exposed.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water regularly.
  • Avoid shaking hands and touching others in public spaces. We will temporarily discontinue the Kol Ami practice of holding hands for Hamotzi.
  • Try to avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. When coughing or sneezing: cover mouth/nose with your arm to reduce the spread of germs.
  • Consider avoiding kissing Torah scrolls, public mezzuzot, etc.
