Kol Ami is a true community of learners. As a congregation, we are dedicated to providing ongoing opportunities for Jewish learning for all, regardless of previous knowledge.


Highlights include:

  • Our weekly Shabbat morning Torah Study, which includes breakfast.
  • The Rabbi’s monthly “Sushi & Study” classes, where we eat lunch together while delving deeply into texts in an accessible yet meaningful way.

Wednesday morning Talmud Study - serious text study with no prior knowledge required.

  • Our annual Scholar in Residence Weekend, which brings top scholars from all over the continent to teach our congregation;
  • An ongoing Friday night lecture series: Held the first Friday of nearly every month. Past topics have ranged from the March of the Living to the principles of Hinduism to Reform Judaism in Israel;
  • The “Open Doors, Open Minds” lecture, in which we invite leaders of other religious groups to teach us about their traditions and beliefs.
  • Our Book Club gets together for interesting discussions and delicious refreshments.
  • Adult B'nai Mitzvah: an extraordinary community of learners who commit to the process of exploring Judaism, learning Hebrew, and becoming Bar/Bat Mitzvah together as adults.
