Youth retreat

If you are in Grades 6-12, join us for a weekend of fun with your friends at our annual Teen Retreat

 April 26-28 at Albion Hills Conservation Centre.

Highlights include outdoor adventure games, warming around a campfire with s'mores, creative teen-led programs, and more. You don't want to miss out on this event!

The cost for the retreat is $175 and includes accommodations, meals and transportation.

By checking this box, I/we give permission for my child to attend the teen retreat weekend on April 26-28, 2019 at Albion Hills Field Centre and Conservation Area. I/we understand and agree that in case of an emergency or injury to the above enrolled child, such action will be taken and medical treatment administered as deemed necessary by the staff. I/we hereby release Temple Kol Ami, Temple Emanu-El, and/or Temple Har Zion, their employees and agents from any claim or liability with respect to the same. I/we give the school(s) such authorization that permits any person or hospital to provide such treatment to my child as may be advisable in the circumstances, and this shall be sufficient authority for doing so.

Brit Kodesh- Our Holy Covenant
While on the Youth Retreat, the participants understand the code of conduct – The Brit-listed below. The initials indicate a willingness to abide by this Brit.
  1. The participant will attend all programs on the retreat and participate to his/her fullest. Any abusive, unsanctioned behaviour will be cause for immediate removal from the site.
  2. The participant will not use public transportation or leave the area that has been outlined as the group’s specified zone
  3. The participant will abide by the curfew set and must be in their assigned housing for the night at the appropriate time determined by the group leaders. Flagrant abuse of curfew will be cause for immediate removal from the site.
  4. The participant will respect the environment of the facility and will follow all civil laws – all items to be consumed will be done in the facility eating/common room area. No food products or snacks may be consumed in rooms.
  5. The participant will refrain from use of any non-prescriptive drugs, alcohol or tobacco products.
  6. All medications shall be given to the staff for dispensing and supervision.
  7. Cell phones brought will be left in the care of the group leaders until the end of the retreat.
The Brit is non negotiable. Once you have initialed this brit, it means that you understand and will act in accordance with the expected guidelines as noted above.
