Community Commitment

As we continue to strive to build a stronger and more vibrant synagogue community, we have carefully considered the financial sustainability necessary to support our shared vision. By setting a minimum $590 membership commitment, we can ensure the continuity of our valuable services, educational programs and community outreach initiatives.
This decision aligns with our commitment to providing an enriching and spiritually fulfilling experience for all members, while fostering a sense of collective responsibility in supporting our sacred community. We remain dedicated to transparent communication, offering flexibility to accommodate individual circumstances, and expressing our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support.

2025-26 SCHOOL ENROLLMENT TUITION AND FEES

$1050 for first child registered in Grades K-7

$950 for second and subsequent children registered in the same family in Grades K-7

$1050 B'nai Mitzvah fee for children in grade 7 (This fee is in addition to tuition, and covers tutoring and other B'nai Mitzvah preparation.)

$360 for Madrichim program

Kol Ami is committed to supporting families from our community who have experienced severe financial challenges and cannot afford to pay for their children’s part-time Jewish education. In order to ensure that every child receives the Jewish education they deserve, Kol Ami has partnered with the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto through UJA Community Scholarships. If you require subsidy for the Kol Ami School, please reach out to Jenn for more information.

NUT AWARENESS POLICY

We have a number of students who suffer from severe nut allergies. Even trace amounts of a problem food can cause a life-threatening allergic reaction.

Please help us maintain a safe community by keeping all nuts and nut products out of the school (peanuts, walnuts, almonds and all other tree nuts). Even those foods labelled with “may contain" or "traces of" in the list of ingredients can be harmful. We appreciate your assistance in making the school safe for every student.

While we strive to be a nut aware facility, we cannot guarantee that your child will not come into contact with products containing nuts. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide a nut aware environment at Kol Ami. Our Staff, members, and students cannot be held responsible. The ultimate responsibility lies with the parents and student to ensure their safety. It is therefore important that if your child has serious allergies, inform us upon registration, and provide any necessary instructions and an EpiPen.

If we or our emergency contact cannot be reached cannot be reached in the event of a medical emergency, we hereby give permission to the physician or hospital selected by the school or its selected representative, to hospitalize and/or secure proper treatment for our child(ren) named above. From time to time, limited information about your child(ren) may be disclosed beyond the scope of Temple Kol Ami. This may include the release of students' ages, grades, images, artwork, writing or other school related work to the media for publicity, displays, newsletters, etc. If you do not consent to the release of information, you must notify the temple office in writing, prior to the start of the school year.

Member High Holy Days Tickets 2025

This year, we look forward to celebrating the High Holy Days as One Kehillah, in Auslander Hall at the Vaughan Campus at 9600 Bathurst St.! (formerly known as Lebovic Campus)

Your membership includes High Holy Days Tickets.

Adult children aged 26 and up are required to purchase a ticket or register for a membership.

High Holy Days services will be held in-person and on ZOOM. The ZOOM link will be emailed closer to the start of the holidays.

Please bring your own Machzorim. We use Mishkan HaNefesh, Machzor for The Days of Awe.

*We have a very limited number of Machzorim available to borrow on a first come, first served basis, by pre arranging directly with Ilana Glazenberg at OperationsManager@Kolami.ca

For safety and security, we need to know the names of everyone attending including young children.
